Scott Briggs is licensed in California and Texas, and he is admitted to practice in the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from University of California, Irvine and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School.

Scott represents corporate clients in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. He advises clients on a wide range of issues, including privacy law, consumer protection, and alternative dispute resolution.
He has successfully defended cases across the nation involving federal and state consumer protection statutes, privacy laws, and unfair and deceptive trade practices acts, including claims under the Video Privacy Protection Act, Federal Wiretap Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, California Consumer Privacy Act, and California Privacy Rights Act.

Scott has significant experience designing and implementing claims handling and dispute resolution programs, advising in-house legal departments, and managing outside counsel to achieve efficient, cost-effective outcomes. He has defended high-stakes mass arbitrations, and he is widely recognized as an authority on consumer arbitration and scalable dispute resolution strategies for large organizations.

Scott is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and he advises clients on navigating data privacy and protection issues.

Scott began his legal career at a well-known California defense firm, later founded and managed a successful law firm, and subsequently served as counsel to a major telecommunications company before joining Seki, Nishimura & Watase, PLC in 2019.

Scott’s practice focuses on complex litigation and strategic counseling in the areas of alternative dispute resolution, consumer protection, and privacy law. 

Scott is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Texas, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
