Administrative Law Services
Expert legal solutions across multiple practice areas.
Our Practice Areas
Administrative Law
This area of practice includes DMV and state licensing hearings and appeals.
If you are arrested for DUI, you must call the DMV to request a hearing regarding the suspension of your license. Sometimes, if you have too many points on your driving record, the DMV will hold a “negligent operator” hearing, in which your license may be suspended, revoked, or restricted.
Civil and Business Litigation
Includes public entity defense, eminent domain & inverse condemnation, employment law, personal injury, tort litigation, medical malpractice, and elder abuse.
We represent municipalities, counties, and public agencies in both litigation and administrative hearings in a variety of cases, such as personal injury, wrongful termination, property damage, and other areas.
Eminent domain allows federal, state, county, or city governments to take ownership of private property and convert it to general public use. If the government entity proves that the interest of the public requires the use of said private property, it uses eminent domain to warrant the purchase of that property.
Inverse condemnation is done in contrast to eminent domain, in which the property owner takes action when the government entity does not uphold or follow eminent domain procedures.
Employment law involves the legalities in the employer/employee relationship. This can include benefits, unemployment compensation, administrative violations, employment discrimination, and workplace injury.
Personal injury refers to any type of injury sustained in accidents. This kind of injury typically emerges from motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, usage of faulty products, or wrongful death claims.
A tort is a civil wrong that causes a plaintiff to suffer loss or damage, prompting legal accountability for the individual who commits the tort. This can include negligence, financial damages, injuries, emotional abuse, invasion of privacy, and other issues.
Medical malpractice occurs when a hospital, doctor, or other healthcare professional causes an injury or death to a patient through a negligent act or omission. Generally, the negligence results from misjudgments in diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or health management.
Elder abuse occurs when a single or repeated act of ill-treatment or suffering is inflicted on an older person in a relationship where there is an expectation of care and trust.
