Craig Miller, licensed to practice law since 1988, has been involved in various fields of work. Commencing as a Senior Law Clerk and promoting to Deputy District attorney, he took on the duties of a prosecutor. He followed being a DDA with a stint at a general practice firm. He was involved in Plaintiff side case, work as a contract City Attorney and even did a little probate and family law.
Next, Mr. Miller practiced defense side general liability work (for private self insureds and public entities. This practice included Civil Rights defense work for public entities. His career continued while operating his own law firm for approximately six years. His practice was primarily in the general liability and Civil Rights area (client allegedly involved in the Rampart Scandal.)
Mr. Miller then transitioned again to public service for the City of Los Angeles. Over his 21 year tenure, he was assigned to the Police Liability Section (Civil Rights defense) and to criminal section, marijuana enforcement and code enforcement. Now he practices Civil Rights defense on behalf of the County of LA and their deputy sheriffs.
Mr. Miller has conducted over 50 criminal and civil jury trials. Approximately 20 of the trials were venued in Federal District court.
Outside of work Mr. Miller is an avid sports fan. He was previously involved in both youth soccer and softball, serving on the boards of each as well as being a coach.
